RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS RECOGNIZING CAF CIPRIANI AND SILVANO & BARBARA ZANETTI FOR EXEMPLIFYING THE

VISION OF HOSPITALITY IN IRVING, TEXAS


WHEREAS, beginning in 1984, the world was welcomed to dinner in Irving, Texas by a voice as distinct as Elvis, a personality as large as Louie Primas, a flourish for the piano that equaled Liberaces, and a love of all things opera, and certainly all things Italian; and WHEREAS, Silvano and Barbara Zanetti treated everyone who walked through the doors of Caf Cipriani as they were walking into the doors of the Zanetti home, which they were; and WHEREAS, their excellent service and distinctly special northern Italian cuisine welcomed countless engagements, weddings and other celebrations; their endless grace and extension of family often comforted those with an emptiness in their hearts; and their professionalism and quality supported much business being conducted; and WHEREAS, Silvano and Barbara have gifted their time, their restaurant and their resources to support many Irving organizations, most often without any recognition, including insisting on quietly picking up many checks when the Irving Convention & Visitors Bureau would bring in clients and prospects for a certain-to-be-spectacular meal. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT on this day, June 27, 2011, the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors formally recognizes Caf Cipriani, and Silvano & Barbara Zanetti for their passion and pride, spirit and support, grace and elegance, warmth and hospitality. There is no clearer vision of what hospitality means, than that which you have exemplified for us, and countless travelers, corporations and Irving residents over the past 27 years. June 30, 2011 will mark the start of a new chapter for you, and we say Salud to you for the many beautiful memories youve provided for us and our guests. Buona Sera to you, as you enjoy this next part of your lives. Please know you will always be welcome in our home, just as you always have welcomed us to yours.
