FORTY DAYS

In Honor of the Glorious Apostle, St. Jude (This devotion consists in visiting for forty days, the holy Apostle, where his image or statue is venerated, and to pray the first day Our Father, the second, two; the third, and so on successively every day one

Our Father more until the last day of Forty Days.)


Pray the Act of Contribution and the number of Our Father corresponding to the day.

PRAYER FOR EVERY DAY


Most blessed Apostle, Saint Jude, so dear to Jesus, Who gave you the power to work miracles for the benefit of mankind; offer my prayers to the Giver of all good and if it be His will, help me obtain from His kindness and mercy what I am asking through thy powerful intercession. Amen.

THE LAST DAY


After having prayed the Act of Contrition and forty Our Fathers for the day, say the following prayers:

PRAYER
O most powerful Apostle, St. Jude, being about to finish the visit which I have been making to thy venerable image, in order to obtain from the Lord, through thy intercession, the grace I am asking, if it be for my salvation, I beseech thee to have pity on me, and, as a reward of my fervent prayers, to obtain from the divine mercy whatever is best for my soul and everlasting welfare. Amen.
