Written Research Analyst Report An analyst report is a document that is typically written to inform managers about the issues surrounding a particular business problem. Its purpose is to provide them with information to help them to make decisions.

The report should include the following elements:


y A brief introductory description of the main issues related to the topic (ie. why it is important) y Identification and evaluation of any problems that may be faced as a result of this issue y Identification of any opportunities that are presented y An explanation of the strengths and weaknesses of any particular approach to the issue y Current trends and industry best practices y Recommendations as to how to proceed y Reference to relevant research and statistics to back up your assessment of the issue Format and Length y y y y y y
