The following is a listing of all known CD-ROM drive manufactures with links to their drivers, technical information, and
company information.
• CD-ROM - (Compact Disk - Read Only Memory) Main page of technical information on CD-ROM drives.
• CD-ROM Drivers - Information about loading CD-ROM drivers into your autoexec.bat and the
config.sys as well as a listing of major CD-ROM driver sys files such as oakcdrom.sys, nec_ide.sys,
atapi.sys, and several others. Also includes additional information about the device driver name
mscd001.
• CD-ROM Error Codes - Information about CDR101, CDR102, and CDR103 error codes and general
steps in attempting to resolve the errors.

MSCD0001 is not a driver, it is a common name of the driver. What this means is once the driver successfully will name
the driver so when MSCDEX is loading it will look for MSCD0001 or the name of the driver instead of attempting to
guess. The driver for your CD-ROM is dependent upon what type of CD-ROM drive you have in the computer.
