    ROMEL MEETS THE

    MOON
    Suddenly felts as
    though he was
    climbing up into
    the star studded
    night sky. After a
    short while, he was
    far away from
    Earth.
    Suddenly , Romel Heard
    the sound of uproarious
    laughter. He looked
    around. “I am here sir, a
    voice called . And
    laughting and giggling a
    round body approached
    Romel. Who are you
    Sir?” Asked Romel,
    The round body began to giggle
    and said, “ I am the Moon . Are
    you not keen to about me?” I
    am very curious, “Romel said
    eagerly . Please go ahead” And
    the Moon begain to tell his
    story.
    I am quite sure, “
    began the Moon,
    “that your mother
    must have referred
    to me as
    Chandamama.
    The First
    Astronomer to
    write science fiction
    anout me was
    Johannes Kepler,
    who wrote
    Somnium, which
    means Dream. In a
    story , a man visits
    me in a dream.
    I go around Earth once every 27
    days. My path is elliptical. So
    Sometimes, I come closer to Earth
    and sometimes further from it. My
    path is also titled at an angle of five
    degrees to the path of Earth around
    the Sun.
    Moon have diameter 3476
    K.M the distance between
    London and Port.
    Moon have diameter 384400
    K.M the distance between
    Mumbai and Port Said.
    Romel said you are a vast
    storehouse of metals &
    minerals which man needs.
    Soon it became a spot of light and
    then suddenly vanished. Romel
    found himself alone again.
