Advantages

• Response times are in the order 1-3 second. This allow for
fine
resolution/control when making process measurements.

• Can easily be conformed to be ‘Intrinsically Safe.

• Low maintenance and low operating costs.

• Reliable technology.

• Gas detection can be confirmed by a lightning of LED and


display of LCD.

• An Alarm can also be used for the Gas Detection.

Disadvantages

• When heavy dust, steam or fog blocks sensor, the system will
not be able to take measurements. This is also the case when
a person or dust blocks the path.

• Should be made free from jerk and vibrations.

• Should be check regularly.
