Social interactionism

What we talked about was social interactionism through the thougths of

Vygotsky and Feuerstein. They support that learning occurs in a social group by
the help of interraction with people more knowledgeable than as such as
parents , teachers or peers. I agree that the more interaction with society the
easier to improve your knowledge and it is not valid just for school. As you know
we are always in the process of learning.
I am sure that ı will make use of social interactionism in my teaching
process. It gives me a lot of idea about teaching styles. Through this idea role
plays and group activities can be done in the classroom. I will try to create
situations that students can interract each other. Feuerstein said that any
person can learn because everone has the potential to learn. So, our mission as a
teacher guide them to find their own way and make their own sense in a social
group and make them a member of that society. In addition to these, we should
give information not piece by piece but holistically. I mean , there should be
unity in the subjects that we try to explain. On the other hand, acording to
Vygotsky’s concept , the zone of proximal development, may help us to make our
students improve. Because it resembles to i+1 in terms of the level of the
materials. I mean, in order to make progress give info just beyond of the
present knowledge of students. I believe ı put something in my pocket about
social interactionism.
I had no difficulty in understanding about this subject.
I think, ı should focus more on how ı can make use of this except from
role plays.
