RF Modules Are Normally Divided Into Three Groups

RF modules can be transmitters, receivers, or transceivers and operate using either a superheterodyne or super-regenerative receiver. A superheterodyne receiver has better performance but is more complex and expensive. When using an RF receiver module, it is important to attach the correct external antenna, either a wire or coaxial cable, that matches the transmission frequency and fully extends the antenna for optimal reception.

RADIO FREQUENCY RECEIVER:-

RF modules are normally divided into three groups, RF transmitter module, RF

receiver module and RF transceiver module.

There are two types of RF receiver modules: superheterodyne receiver and

super-

regenerative receiver, superheterodyne has performance advantage over super-

regenerative ones, but also is more complicated and price is a little higher. The

detailed explanation between the two types of receivers can be found here:

Superheterodyne receiver and Super-regenerative

Attach an external antenna:-

This is a typical illustration of the basic whip antenna.

 Users of RF module may use any soft or hard wire (likes Drawbars
antenna)
 as antenna. The frequency is determined by the length of antenna, please
select the correct length as follows. If a soft wire is used, please make sure
it is

fully extended.

Antenna Length: 24 cm (315 MHz) / 18 cm (433.92 MHz)

 If the transmitter module is molded in a metal casing, please use an

external
 antenna. For better result, use A 50 Ohm coaxial cable can be used as
 antenna to the module.
