The fierce race for achieving the centre stage in the technology driven era
has been fuelled by the new inventions taking place time and again and this yet
again propels the competition further. The new technology that promises to
drive the future is Artificial Intelligence (AI). After the initial setbacks the
response that it is getting is enthusiastic enough and compelling us to take note
of the proceedings.
AI promises to provide the human touch that is lagging in the current
technologies and make them more human like and not mere articles. Of course
whether or not it is feasible in the near future is a matter of debate the optimists
look at the positive sides of it. Here this paper takes a look at the role, AI plays
in robotics to solve some of the very basic problems.
