Life Guarding Flyer

The American Red Cross is offering a lifeguard certification course for ages 15 and older at the Williamsport YMCA Pool and Williamsport High School from April 29th to May 22nd on various dates and times. The course teaches lifeguarding, first aid, CPR, and other skills and costs $165-$185 for members and non-members. Participants must be able to continuously swim 300 yards and complete a timed rescue exercise to receive certification.

position, working as part of a team to help people safely enjoy the water.

15+

When:
April 29th- May 1st, May 6th -7th, & May 20th – 22nd
Fridays: 5:00p-8:30p
Saturdays and Sundays: 9:00a-5:00p

Full Course: $165-$185

Additional Info:
Certification comes with: Lifeguarding and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer, Blood Borne
Pathogens Training, and CPR and AED for the Professional Rescuer.
All participants must be able to swim 300 yards continuously (100 front crawl, 100 Breaststroke,
100 choice of the two).
All participants must be able to do a 20 yard swim, surface dive 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10lb object,
and exit within 1 minute and 40 secs.
