Search Engine Marketing

Search engine marketing is a form of internet marketing that seeks to increase the visibility of websites in search engine result pages. This is done through paid placement, contextual advertising, and paid inclusion. There are two main implementations of SEM: search engine optimization, which improves organic search rankings; and pay per click advertising, where advertisers bid on keywords and pay only when users click on their ads. The goal of SEM is to drive more traffic and leads to websites by ensuring they can be found through search engines, as over 85% of internet traffic is referred from search engines.
