What have you learnt about technologies

from the process of constructing this product?

I've used a variety of different software in order to create this media


product. For example Photoshop has allowed me to create pictures of a
more professional standard that I then included in my preliminary task as
well as my final product - the music magazine.

Photoshop also allowed me to add some 'brushes and filter' to


both my preliminary product and the final product once it was
finished on In design.

The ability to use these brushes and filters enabled me to make my


magazine look more professional as well as much more attractive
and more appealing to the audience.

I first started my preliminary task by using the windows


publisher but I soon progressed into using a more advanced
and professional program – Indesgn. Indesign templates
allowed me to get the exact layout I wanted for my
magazine.

Indesign also allowed me to use any fonts that i


wanted and arrange them in a way that made my
magazine look like those of a professional standard.

One other technology that I’ve learnt to use is how to


create a website using www.wix.com at first it was
challanging, but with a few online tutorials it became
second nature to me and the more i worked on it the
faster i progressed.
I also used YouTube and
created and Exclusive
promo video that my
readers can see via
YouTube.

Overall the different technologies I’ve used can be


seen as a base for my media A-level. I found learning
how to use Photoshop and Indesign the most
challaging as I haven’t used such programs beffore, but
online tutorials that I found on YouTube were
extremely helpful.
