The document discusses different methods the author used to collect audience feedback during various stages of a project creating an action thriller film trailer. A survey was created on SurveyMonkey to understand audience preferences. A Facebook page was also created to get feedback on draft videos through links and status updates. YouTube allowed the project to reach a wider international audience and get comments. Interviews were also conducted with students by showing similar trailers to get feedback on likes and dislikes. An anonymous survey was sent around to get more reliable feedback for the author's own trailer.

Evaluation: What have you learned from your

audience feedback?

What the audience think of our product is ultimately the most important thing
in the project, they are the reason we are creating a product and they will
determine whether the product is a success or not. Using audience feedback in
the production part of the project is key as it offerd us a chance to adapt and
better our ideas to suit our target audience.

The first bit of audience feedback i collected was gatherd by creating a survey
on surveymonkey.com my aim was to find out what our audience would like
and expect to see in an action thriller film trailer, knowing this would save us
time by giving us the chance to change any initial ideas that were likely not to
be popular with our audience.

I also created a facebook page as i thought it would be easy for me to gain

feedback during the production stages, i pasted links to draught videos and
made statuses asking about what people would like to see, facebook also
made it possible for people to comment without me even having to ask them
to, they were able to explore my page at their own free will.

Youtube.com also allowed for a similar way to facebook for people to leave
comments and suggestions, YouTube opened our project to a much wider
range of people as it is much easier to come across our video on there as it is
to on facebook. It allowed people from all over the world to look at our media
product if they decided to search trailer in the tool bar.

Probably the most old fashioned way to get feedback is to physically go to your
audience and ask them directly what they think, we did this by interviewing
students at our school and asking them what they thought of current media
products similar to our own we showed them the “Enemy of the state trailer”
and the “Bourne” trailer and asked them to give us feedback on what they
liked what they didn’t like and which one they preferred and why? We decided
not to do this with our own product as we did not think that the feedback
would be as reliable as they were telling us to our faces what they thought,
instead we decided to send an anonymous survey around to gain similar
feedback for our own project as well as posting it on our facebook page.
