2009 Highway Mobility Report

The 2009 Highway Mobility Report contains 27 figures related to traffic congestion and mobility in Montgomery County, Maryland. Figure 2.4 maps the 10 most congested intersections in the county. Travel time-distance profiles and time of day profiles are provided for major roadways to analyze congestion patterns. Vehicle miles traveled have increased in Montgomery County compared to Maryland and the U.S. The report also analyzes pedestrian activity, public transit ridership trends on Ride On and Metrorail, and peak hour traffic volumes and vehicle-to-capacity ratios.
