Subject: Revised Schedule of Academic Calendar for the Academic Session 2010-11.
In continuation of this office Endst.No.ACR-2/T&V-9)v)/10/10247-10496 dated
17.5.2010, it is notified that the Vice-Chancellor has approved the revised Schedule of Academic
Calendar, extended the period of Winter Vacations and curtail the commencement of Summer
Vacations for affiliated/maintained Colleges for the session 2010-11 as under :
A. FOR UNDER-GRADUATE AND POST-GRADUATE COURSES(SEMESTER SYSTEM) :

The Vice-Chancellor has been pleased to approve the schedule of Academic

Calendar for B.Ed. (Regular) Course for the Colleges of Education (Aided and Self Financing
Colleges) affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra for the session 2010-11 as under :

1st Term : 01.10.2010 to 16.12.2010

Winter Break : 17.12.2010 to 31.12.2010
2nd Term : 01.01.2011 to 25.06.2011
Summer Vacations : 26.06.2011 to 10.08.2011
Theory Examinations : 01.07.2011 onwards
Annual Examinations : after Theory Examinations.

If the number of teaching days falls less than 200 days in the academic session 2010-11

semester with 30 periods each per week, the teaching load will be increased
from 30 to 35 periods per week to complete 540 periods or above (as per
requirement of Council of Architecture) of the semester within 16 week.
2. Dates for Practical Examinations will be notified by the Controller of
Examinations.
3. If the number of teaching weeks falls less than 32 weeks (16 weeks in each
semester) in the academic session 2010-11 due to some unforeseen reasons, it would be the
responsibility of the Institute/College to make good the loss by arranging extra classes.
