INTRODUCTION
Title :- “Online Air Reservation System
”
This project aims to model the working of an airline
reservation.
This project is mainly intended for the customers, who
use the airline websites to make reservations on
flights.
This project will be implemented in C#.NET and SQL
Server 2005 will act as the database.
PROBLEM DEFINITION
“Online air reservation” contains schedules, fare
tariffs, passenger reservations and ticket records. It's
also designed to expressly bring to the needs of low
cost carriers.
The project is fortified with efficient booking tools
that enable the revenue optimization staff to manage
the airline yield easily and effectively. Design provides
many shortcut facilities including a quick launch
menu with frequently used menu options that reduces
time usage.
TECHNOLOGIES USED:
Front-End Development:
Feature-rich ASP.NET will be used for development of this
website along with the native language of .NET framework,
C#. The highly helpful environment of visual studio 2008 is
the inevitable choice as the development environment.

Back-End Development:
SQL Server 2005 Express Edition will be used for storing,
and maintaining the databases due to its high performance
and efficiency as an RDBMS.

SYSTEM SPECIFIC SERVICES
The user should be able to do the following functions:
A complete and fully developed search module that helps the user
search the flight that suits them best.
A reservation system, that lets the user choose a seat of their choice
and Book/Print tickets to avoid last minute hassle.
An option that lets the user make payment online.
Cancellation of reserved tickets so that the seat is available to another
waiting passenger.
Creation of free user accounts on website and a full-fledged login and
registration module to make reservation of tickets easy, encourage
user activity on the website and also make the user accountable for
different discounts on the basis of frequency of usage of the airlines.

DATA COLLECTION(DATA BASE)
 Data is collected in the form of table using SQL Server 2005 Express Edition .

The above two fields will be used to ‘Login’ the user as predicted and expected.

CONCLUSION
On Line Air Reservation System has led to ease of
airline ticketing, flight scheduling and also provided a
means for customers to access and book flights from
their homes. It has also increased the speed with
which information about customers are retrieved and
handled and flight scheduling is tasked.
