PROJECT REPORT GUIDELINES ACADEMIC YEAR 2010-2011

MBA (G) SEMESTER IV

The project report has to be submitted as per the rules prescribed.

1. Guidelines: Students should select the management related problem and should select
research based topic. Base on interviews and questionnaire monitored on an sizable no. of
employees or customers project can be completed.

2. Subject: The subject of Project Report will be decided only after the approval of the
project guide.

Make a list of probable on which the project could be undertaken and finalise it after
discussing with the project guide.

3. Number of copies: The students should submit two hard bound copies of the project
report. Copy no 1: Copy for submission. Co0py no 2: Students Reference.

FORMAT OF THE PROJECT REPORT

1. Paper: The report should be typed on white paper of A4 size. The submission
copy of the project report must contain original typed papers, certificates .
2. Typing : Typing shall be of standard A4 letter size, doubled space and on the one
side of the paper.
3. Font: For heading character size 16 to 18. For script size should be 14. The
Character font should be TIMES NEW ROMAN.

4. Margin: The typing must be done with the following margins: Left: 35 mm.
Right Margin 20 mm, Top margin 35 mm and Bottom Margin 20 mm.

5. Binding: Project report should be Hard Bound in Black.

6. Blank Sheets: At the beginning and at the end of the report two white bond
papers should be attached.

1. Selecting a topic.
2. Identifying objectives
3. Planning suitable methodology
4. Devising instruments of investigation
5. Obtaining access to information and people
6. Collecting , analyzing and presenting data.
7. Drafting a neat final report.

Format of the Project Report.

1. Preliminaries:

1.Title Page
2. Certificate of the concerned authority in the organization
3. Certificate of the internal guide.
4. Preface/ acknowledgements.
5) Index/ contents : 1. chapter number
2. chapter title
3. page number

6) List of tables: 1. number

3. page number

7) List of graphs/charts: 1. number


2. title
3. page number

2. Main Body

1) Introductory chapter: 1. Theoretical background of the topic.


2. Objectives of the project
3. Scope
4. Profile of the organization

2) Project Design: 1.Methods used


2. Sources of data
3. Collection of data
4. Tools used for analysis
5. Limitations of the project
3) Analysis of the data and findings.
4) Conclusions and recommendations.

3) Closing pages: 1) Bibliography


2) Appendices (documents ,questionnaires etc.)
