0: INTRODUCTION OF ROLE PLAY

Basically, role play is an important skill for someone in implementing

character to the certain situation. In educational, role play in the classroom involves
students actively in the learning process by enabling them to act as stakeholders in
an imagined or real scenario.

Besides that, the role play creates a stimulating environment that simulates
reality enabling students to intensify their understanding of the situation or event
being re-enacted. They also develop practical skills for professional practice.

In role playing, participants take the position of someone else to "act" the part
of that person in a particular situation. So, it is a learning activity in which the
students will assume a role to practise a variety of language skills.

Overall, role-play is a beneficial teaching tool as it develops practical

professional skills as well as academic knowledge. Students generally enjoy this
hands-on approach to learning and broaden their understanding of multi-stakeholder
negotiations through a process of simulated experience. Thus, role play is one of the
learning processes in which participants act out the roles of other individuals in order
to develop particular skills and to meet particular learning objectives.

REFLECTION

We have given an assignment to design an 8 – 10 minutes role play. We also

need to write a role-play based on the topic of “Visit Malaysia 2009”. By doing this
assignment, mainly, we can improve our English language especially our
vocabularies become wide.

Along we doing this assignment, we can enjoy our team work. we did this
assignment by dividing our work into what topic that we should do first so that this
assignment can be completed successfully. We not faced any big problem along we
do this assignment. Furthermore, we did this assignment very well. Besides that, we
felt happy because we like English language as our second language and this is a
very enjoyable assignment.

We also get the information from internet, reference books and we make
collaboration with my beloved supervisor, Madame Norlela @ Norlaila Bt Ali. These
sources are so help me more along we doing this assignment until it completely
finished and already compiled.

Besides that, we also need to point out all the interesting places in Malaysia
so that we can fulfil with the criteria needed. Finally, we choose Malacca as our
places in doing role play.

Last but not least, we are really hoped that this assignment will give benefits
to all people. Hopefully, through this assessment we can try to cope with current
issues and do more reading and understand how role play influences our daily life in
educating.
