Solution: Install The Print Driver and Scan Driver On A Microsoft Windows Operating System (OS)
NOTE: This solution assumes that the correct print driver for this product and the operating
system you are using has been downloaded and extracted to a known location on the hard drive.
If you have not already done so, click on the [Drivers & Downloads] link under the Product
Resources section on this window to download a print driver.
The scan driver is required to allow the printer to scan from various applications on your
computer.
If the New Hardware Wizard window is displayed during the installation procedure, click [X] in
the upper, right corner of the window to close the window, or click [Cancel].
The print driver is software that lets your computer communicate with your printer. The
procedure to install drivers may differ depending on the operating system installed on the
computer.
The procedure below installs the printer as a local printer; a printer directly attached to your
computer using the printer cable supplied with your printer.
1. Make sure that the printer is connected to your computer using the USB cable, and the
computer and printer are both powered ON.
2. From the computer, navigate to the location where you downloaded and extracted the
software. Double-click on the [Setup.exe] file, then click [OK].
NOTE: If using the CD-ROM included with the printer, install the CD-ROM into the
CD-ROM drive. The CD-ROM should automatically run, and an installation window will
be displayed. If the installation window does not appear, click [Start] then click [Run].
Type: X:\Setup.exe, replacing 'X' with the letter which represents the computer drive.,
and then click [OK].
