Budget Process Flow Chart

The Board of Trustees develops strategic goals at the last meeting of the fiscal year. The Finance Committee then sets budget targets and initiative fund amounts. Councils/entities receive the targets and develop initial budgets, which staff uses to create a draft budget from April to May 1st. Councils/entities submit initiative fund requests from May to 30 days after the annual meeting. The Finance Committee, councils/entities, and committees then review and discuss the overall budget from August to November. Finally, the Board of Trustees reviews and approves the budget at their last meeting of the fiscal year.
