Fenar Script

The astonished Penny Farthing follows the story of Fenar, a penny farthing bike who is amazed by modern vehicles like motorbikes and hover bikes. When Fenar first encounters a motorbike zooming past, he is startled. Feeling depressed about his outdated design, Fenar is cheered up when Shorty, a girl's bike, brings him to a bike shop to be upgraded. Fenar emerges transformed with new decorations and tassels, feeling proud until an even more futuristic hover bike startles all the bikes.

The astonished Penny Farthing

EXT. INSIDE GARAGE

The scene starts with an old calendar with an old radio printed
on it, slowly scene reveals some bike wheel wires, the penny
farthing come into full view. It’s incredibly silent until the
door slowly cracks open

(Door: Creek)

The handle bars on the P.Farthing perks up, confused by


situation raises its eyebrows/handlebars. The door opens fully
with a shine peering through. The bemused P.Farthing rolls
towards the light and disappears inside it.

(continuous wheel squeak while moving)

Fade Out

EXT. STREET CORNER

Fade In

Fenar, shielding his eye’s with his handle bars rolls down the
street. He hears a loud machine in the distance. He looks from
left to right, Archer the motorbike zooms past. While zooming
a slow motion scene occurs where Archer winks as he goes by,
in real time we see a blur of lines.

(Archer wink: Bing)

Fenar Jumps back, ears upright in astonishment.

(Fenar: jump noise)

He contains his shock, ears back down, and sighs, wipes the
sweat of his brow. Just as he’s relaxed a two seated bike
rolls by behind him, making him jump in astonishment once
more.

(Fenar: Jump noise)

Just like before He contains his shock, ears back down, and
sighs, wipes the sweat of his brow. He looks at his small
wheel and gives it a little shake, and subsequently becomes
depressed.

(Squeaky metal Shake)

He rolls a little more down the street while being physically


upset; he rolls low to the ground until he hears a ringer.
(Shorty: ring ring)

His ears prick up while body is still low; Shorty the little
girls bike hops beside him and with her tassels pats him on
the back.

(Shorty: Boing)

Shorty takes Fenar into a bike shop nearby. A clock zooms in


and out.

(clock: batman face zoom sound)

When clock zooms out we see Fenar’s wheels and slowly zooms
upwards revealing fenar’s new and improved body, he stands
with his chest pushed out, with the decorations glinting.

(Fenars decoration: shine noise)

The camera continues to zoom to his handlebars which new


tassels click like a stereotypical black lady.

(tassels: click)

The camera switches to the parked Archer, who smiles and gives
a little rev. Fenar honks in return. A UFO sounding object
gets closer and louder, bemusing them all. A hover bike floats
past, resulting in all the bikes jumping backwards in
amusement.

(Hover bike: Hover sound)

End
