1) i have created a vg with 2 hard disks.. how to rename that vg?

Ans:
Unmount all the file systems from th VG
- Varyoff the VG
- Verify through lsvg -l oldvg_name
- exportvg oldvg
- importvg -y newvg_name oldvg_name
- varyonvg newvg_name
- mount -a to mount all the filesystems
