So, we choose the related keywords for our web pages. In Keyword Research we will decide the targeted
keywords for our webpage.

We use different tools for searching the keywords. Generally we prefer the free and best tools. In my opinion
the free and best of all tools are:

2. Word tracker keyword tool.

On-Page Factors:

Google search engine is now following these on-page factors strictly. Besides this Backlinks are needed for the
better SERP rank.

After choosing the best keywords we will make sure that the targeted keywords are well optimized in the
webpage.

The list of all On-Page Factors:

 be written in meta keyword and meta description
 be available in the file name or web page name.
 be available in the content of the web page.
 be written in h1 tag at least once.

ANS:- In the past years Domain Name Selection also played an important role in search engine optimization.
But now Google is not considering the domain names in optimizing them in the SERP(Search Engine Page
Results). Domain Names are unique once registered cannot be used by others. We will Discuss about the
Domain extensions called as Top-level Domains(TLD), second-level domain names.

"www.mysite.com". In this name ".com" is called as Top-level Domain Name(TLD). Andmysite is called as
second level domain name.

There are 7 Top-level Domain Names. ".com, .org, .net, .edu, .gov, .int, .mil".

Google has also launched country level search engines. www.google.com is for global, www.google.co.in for
india www.google.co.uk for united kingdom www.google.co.jp for Japan.

The top-level domain which(TLD) we had chosen we have effect in search engine optimization. If we choose
country top-level domain name then our website will be optimized in the country level search engine. If the top-
level domain name is among the 7 top-level domains then they will be optimized in global search engine.

Keyword Research

Selecting good and right keywords for our webpage is called as Keyword Research in SEO. This is the most
important part in SEO. Choosing the right keywords helps in optimizing the webpage quickly. We choose some
keywords which suit our webpage. By using those keywords We search for the related keywords in Google
Adword Keyword Tool to get more keywords which suits our webpage. This shows the more keywords which
are related to the webpages. Now we will select the keywords from the results shown in the Google Adword
Keyword Tool. We will select the keyword which have high volume and which are related keywords of our
webpage.

Now we search in the Google search engine with every chosen keyword. And in this final stage we will prepare
a competition analysis of every keyword.

Let you are starting a real estate business. You had prepared a website let www.realestate.com. To optimize
you website in the search engine we have do SEO which includes

keywords. Many free and paid tools are available in the internet. I prefer some of the free and best tools
preferred by many.

We can easily find good keywords for our web pages.

There are some important things to remember while doing keyword research. They are:-

1. The keywords which has high search volume and less competition are considered as good keywords

2. While searching for the keywords, we have to search for the semantically related words

In the above keywords the words "picture" and "Image" are semantically same. i.e, these both words
have same meaning. The user may search for any of those two keywords. So while searching for the
keywords, we have search for the words which have similar meaning.

In the above case we choose the keyword which has high search volume and less competition. If the
high search volume keyword has very high competition then we opt for the keyword which has less
competition.

After choosing the keywords we check whether all the words of the keyword phrase are included in the
content of the web page. This is very strictly followed by the Google. If the keywords are not included
in the web page, then Google will not optimize your webpage in the Search Engine Page Results for the
targeted keyword.
Later check the keyword density of the every word of the keyword phrase should be in between 2% to
8%. And make sure that the density of the keyword phrase should be in between 3% to 7%.

In this way we find good keywords and do on-page optimization.

3. If you want to optimize your web page quickly in the search engine then choose the keywords which
have low competition.

Ex: If you website PR is 2. Then make sure you competitors page rank should not be more than 4 or 5.
Otherwise it will take more than 6 months to optimize that page.

4. If you are starting a new website. Then dont choose the keyword which has high competition in the
search engine.

Ex: If all the pages in the top 10 SERP results have the page rank Above 4 for the particular keyword,
then don't your webpage for that keyword. It will take more than a year to get top 10 positions for that
particular keyword. And much more time to get top1 position

5. Check the keyword with both singular and plural form to find good keyword.

whether the keyword should be chosen or not.

3. Page Rank of the web page
4. No: of Backlinks (Dofollow & Nofollow)

How to Prepare a Keyword Competition Analysis:

Let you want to prepare keyword competition analysis on the keyword "small dog breeds"

Then decide whether you are targetting a country or globally. If you are targetting globally go to the
www.google.com or else go to the country level google search engine. And search with the keyword. The
google search engine shows the results. Pick up the top 10 results. We choose only the first 10 results because
we struggle through the SEO to bring our website to the top 10 results. So we prepare the competition analysis
of the keyword by choosing the top 10 pages.

On site Optimization

Onsite Optimization is the process of creating the webpages based on some guidelines and techniques. Onsite
Optimization gives guidelines to write the text content and image content etc in an order. When google crawls
our page they observe the targetted keywords in our page and optimize them in the SERP Results.

So we create the web pages in a procedural format as an Onsite Optimization. If the pages are already create
then we do some changes to the available pages so that they can be easily optimized in the google search
engine.

In Onsite Optimization we start from the Head Section, Body section of the page. We take care while writing
the title tags, meta tags, meta description etc in the page. Onsite Optimization gives the long life results when
compared to the Offsite Optimization. Usage of Black hat techniques, Links Farms makes google block our
website for appearing in the search engine results. These type of Illegal techniques must be avoided for the best
SERP Results. Selection of keywords is also an important part in SEO.
In the past many people used to apply these types of Illegal techniques to Optimized the pages in the SERP
results. When google observed the way as the spam is increasing in the search engine it changed their
algorithms avoid for showing the spam results from showing them in the SERP results.

Domain Name Selection:

Domain Names doesnot show any negative affect in Search Engine Optimization. In the past search engines
considered domain names in optimizing the web pages in the Search Engine Results Page(SERP).

But now Google excluded domain name optimization in optimizing the pages in the SERP. We can choose any
domain name. It can be your company brand name or anything. But remember the domain name which you had
chosen should not be the other company's brand name.

If you select the domain name having two or more words then we can use hyphen(-) in between the words. This
will make easier to remember and Search Engines can understand the domain names easily if any related
keywords search is done.

Domain Name extensions (TLD's)

To learn about the different TLD's go to DOMAIN NAME SELECTION page. We have differnt TLD'S and
country domain name extensions TLD's. We can choose any TLD's. Country TLD's are optimized in the
country level search engines. Ex: example.co.uk, example.in

If you want to popularize about your product or services of your company then you can choose the domain
name with country TLD's. If you want to optimize you web page globally choose any TLD's as .com, .org, .net

We had cleary mentioned about every legal and Illegal rules which need to observed carefully while writing the
page cotent.

File name SEO

File Name Optimization in also an important factor in optimizing the webpages. Related file name helps in
optimizing the web page in the search engine results.

The file name should be the main targetted keyword of the page. We generally select 3 or 4 targetted keywords
for that web page. Select the main from the 4 keywords and keep that for the file name. whenever a query
search is done then the file name will helps us in optimizing that page in the top results.

If more than one word is used in the file name then the words should be separated with hyphen(-) or
underscore(_). We should not separate the keywords with spaces in between the words because search engines
could not understand the words separated with spaces. hyphen(-) and underscore(_) are treated as spaces by the
search engines. To avoid those type of problems we should takes proper care while writing the file names. The
above things must be remembered while doing file name optimization.

Title Optimization SEO

When Search engines crawl the web pages first they go through the title of the page . So title is very important
factor in Search engine optimization. In On Page SEO title plays a very important role in optimizing the page in
google SERP results. They search for the keywords in the title and understand the topic of the webpage. The
search engines decides for what keywords should the page must be displayed in the SERP Results. Title is the
introduction to your webpage. So Title Optimization plays an very important role in SEO. Google concentrates
more in the title rather than meta keywords.

Title information is written in between the <title> ... </title> tags in head section of the page.

The targetted keywords should be placed in the title tag. And the keywords should be separated with commas(,)
or hyphen(-).

The number of characters in the title tag should not exceed 70. Otherwise the search engine consider the page
to be spam. Using the Targetted keywords of that page in the title tags is a good practise and helps in seo title
optimization.

Avoid using stop keywords like for, in, at, as etc in the title tag. These stop keywords does not have any good
impact in SEO title optimization. Instead of that they decrease the limit of characters to be used in the title tag.

Short tail keywords are most preferred than Long tail keywords in the title tag. Query searches(KEYWORD
SEARCHES) on short tail keywords is done more than long tail keywords. In SEO short tail keywords are more
preferred than long tail keywords.

Repeation of keywords in the title tag must avoided. Otherwise the page will be considered as spam by the
Google search engine.

In the above title example in every keyword the words "images" is repeated. Avoid these types of usages in the
keyword. Otherwise this will show negative affect in SEO TITLE OPTIMIZATION

Meta tag SEO

Meta Tags plays a very important role in Search Engine Optimization(SEO). They are used to inform search
engines about the keywords, description, author information etc..

We will discuss about the necessary information which is required for the search engine optimization.

Meta Keywords in SEO


We write meta keywords in the page to inform the search engines about the main keywords. Google search is
not considering the meta keywords in optimizing the web page. But yahoo in considering the keywords in the
meta tag. Use limited keywords separated with commas(,).

Meta Description in SEO

These are very important in optimizing. We must use meta description in every web page. This is the best part
after the title tags. The description should be meaningful along with the inclusion of the keywords. The
character limit for the Google is 160. For Yahoo is 165. MSN is 200+. So it would be better not to exceed 160.

Meta Revisit

Meta revisit is used to define after how many days the crawler should revisit the page. We will guide the
crawler to update our web pages for regular intervals. Here we define the time interval for regular updations.

SEO localization is optimizing the web pages based on the geographical location.

That means we can optimize our web pages globally or to a specific country. Global optimization of the web
pages will take little longer time when compared with local optimization.

Generally small business owners who sell their products and services in their country or state want to optimize
their website in their country itself. In such cases seo localization is helpful.

There are many ways we can apply seo localization to our website.

1. The first way is guiding the Google to optimize the pages in particular geographical location through
Google Webmaster Tools.

3. The third way of optimizing locally can be done at the time of registering the domain name. That is if
you register a domain name with country level TLD. Then the website will be optimized locally in the

Google search tips

To search on a topic on the Google we simply type the query text in the search bar of the Google search engine.
Let we want to search on best antivirus software. When we type the query in the search bar, Search engine
uses AND operator and OR operator to search for the queries. The operators are used in between the words
best, antivirus, software. The search engine gives first preference to AND operator and second preferece to
OR operator. And the results are displayed in the page. So google searches for the words best, antivirus,
software. In the results there may be all the three words or not.

There are some tips on google searches which helps in filtering the search content as per our requirement.

double quotes(" ") :

when we type the query in between the double qoutes(" "). Google search engine searches for the exact word.
As per the above example the search is done for the exact words "best antivirus software". The pages which
are having the exact these 3 words in same order will be shown in the top results.

See the difference by typing the query with double quotes and without double quotes.

plus (+): and minus (-)

This is default search done by the search engine. when we search for more than two words we use this plus(+)
to include the added word. And similarly minus(-) is used to exclude the word in the search results page which
is written after writing minus(-).

Orgenic results in SERP

SERP stands for Search Engine Results Page

The list of web pages displayed by the search engine in a response to a query search in the search bar of a
search engine. When a query(keyword) search is done. The search Engine displays the results which are
matching with the keyword in the Page. It contains Paid Results and Organic Results. See the sample page, it
will show how the search engine results page looks with both paid results and organic results.

We do SEO to optimize the webpage in organic results. Organic results are also called as Natural Search
Results. And Paid Results is part of SEM(Search Engine Marketing). To List our webpage in the sponsored list
we have to pay some amount to the google adwords to show them in the paid results listing in the Search
Engine Results Page. Paid Results are always shown in the top of the page and in the right side of the Search
Engine Results Page. The next follows the Organic Results. Paid results will be shown on basis of keywords
and similarly Seo is done on every page of the website on the basis of those targetted keywords. Seo will last
forever where as paid results will be displayed for some time till the money stays in Adwords Account. Paid
results costs more whereas Seo does not cost anything And It is optimized for a long time.

The Organic results are displayed depending on the Page Rank and relativity of the Keyword. Google follows
strict algorithms to filter the web pages in order to show the best results to the user.

By Optimizing all the above factors will surely optimize our web pages in the search engines. These factors
doesnot needed to show the result in the paid results. But in SEO these are all very important factors which
needs to be considered at the time of writing the content for the web pages.

Choosing the right keyword helps in optimizing the webpages in the Organic Results. New researches had
revealed that about 80 percent of the users doesnot go beyond from the top 10 results from the google search
engine. By considering this point we should take the analysis of top 10 sites of that keyword from the organic
results in the search engine. Make sure that you good at these results.

etc. I found your website with good content and very much impressed with your site so I created a link in my
webpage which is linking to your website. Through this I guide my users to see the www.site2.com for more
detailed information. Now you got a inbound link. By giving this link in my website I gave you an inbound link

Outbound Link:

Outbound links are the links which are linked from my website to the otherwebsite. Then we say that I have an
outbound link. These doesnot effect our page rank. From the above example I www.site1.com has an outbound
link. that means www.site1.com is sending a link to www.site2.com. Outbound links is not used in calculating
our page rank.

GOOGLE PAGE RANK :

Page Rank Calculation completely depends on the number of Inbound links. That is number of links which you
got from other sites. If the number of Inbound links got increased simultaneously Your Page Rank get increases.
Quality Inbound links are precious for the hike in Page Rank. If there is no Quality Backlinks you will not get
any Page Rank.

Keywords are the searches done in Search Engines.
