Simulation 1

This presentation discusses simulation as a tool for analyzing complex problems. Simulation represents real-world systems using numerical models that can be manipulated. The objectives of simulation are to reduce large, complex problems and iteratively solve problems. The modern use of computers allows for simulating large or complex problems. The simulation process involves identifying the problem, decision variables, constructing a model, validating the model, running experiments, and examining results. Advantages are analyzing large systems, experimenting without impacting the real system, and testing when other methods fail. Disadvantages include high costs and development time and simulations not providing exact solutions.

Presentation on Simulation

Given By,
Ajey & Arif
What is Simulation?
Simulation is one of the oldest analysis tool
which represents the real world by numbers &
other symbols that can be readily manipulated.
OBJECTIVES
To reduce the large and complex
problems and get their results
To be used in iterative solving of the
problem
Modern simulation:
Availability of computers which make it
possible for us to deal with large or complex
problems occurred or they help in manipulating
the model over many experiments.
Steps of Simulation process
 Identify the problem
 Identify the decision variables
 Construct a numerical model
 Validate the model
 Design the experiments
 Run the simulation model
 Examine the results
Identify the problem

Identify decision variables performance

Advantages:
• Analysis suitable for large & complex
problems.
• Simulation can be used to experiment on model
instead of real system.
• Simulation can be used as pre-service test.
• Its only the remaining tool if all other manual
techniques fail.
Disadvantages:
• Simulation models are expensive and take long
time to develop.
• Exact solution may not be generated by this
simulation.
CONCLUSION
By this method we can reduce complex
problems and get the required results with
repetitive experiments.
