Web 3.0
Web 3.0
I have written an article about the web 2.0 and Web 1.0 but Web 3.0 is not yet officially out. It is still in
the development phrases. But we can possibly analyze and precursor the features of the web 3.0.
Web 3.0 will be the personalized web where every user will have a unique experience of the web.
According to the current trend, the major portion of the web 3.0 sphere will be social networking and
social bookmarking sites. Even now the traffic to MySpace is greater than the traffic to Google (Alexa
web reporting company) alone. YouTube too over takes Google because of its latest video sharing
community features.
Blogs will take an important trend since major companies are switching slowly to blog view of websites
than the traditional view. Many daily news papers will be shifted to blog posts and the trend shall
continue to increase as groups who are with similar interests get together to produce content rich
WebPages.
The technology will advance too and many users will shift from their standalone operative systems to a
web operative system like Google Chromium that works on a web platform. As the internet speed
increases globally the rich internet applications will skyrocket and standalone eventually have to be
substituted.
This approach will enable the web 3.0 platform to enhance the user experience and to activate the
semantic web concepts of treating every user uniquely. There are pros and cons of this system.
Pros
Cons
Low speed
Server costs will increase
Security issues will be high
Recurring internet payments will cost a lot
Privacy issues due to over collection of personal data
Speed of connections will increase as the world spins faster to find better solutions and this in turn will
find better solutions for servers too. An extra layer of security must be implemented to reduce damage
by malicious programs and hackers to servers and the connections.
The inter payments will reduce eventually as the growth of use increase. The over privacy collection
issue will have to be assigned to personal decision. If the user desire to view personalized data he will
have to hand over a part of privacy to the server. The server must protect the data to ensure the trust.
The Web 3.0 technology is still in the concept format but progress is seen in number of ways. The
biggest question which the experts face is the technology to make the browser understand the context
of the web pages rather than just keywords.
