Strong Roots, Ripe Fruits: About Resonance
In Physics, resonance is the tendency of a system to oscillate with
larger amplitude at some frequencies than at others. These ar e
known as the system's resonant frequencies. At these frequencies,
even small periodic driving for ces can produce large amplitude
oscillations, because the system stor es vibrational energy.
Resonance was recognized by Galileo Galilei with his investigations
of pendulums and musical strings beginning in 1602.
Mr R.K. Verma, a B.Tech. from IIT-Madras, 1994 Batch; being a
Physics Teacher himself chose to name his first edupreneaurial venture
as ‘Resonance’. Resonance came into being on 11th April, 2001 at
Kota as the preparatory institute for IIT-JEE; the toughest entrance
examination for admission in coveted engineering institutes i.e. IITs.
The institute was named as Resonance with the commitment to
enhance the benefits of teaching up to the greatest level of satisfaction
of students and to bring them in the frequency band of teacher so that
the scientific phenomenon of resonance becomes a reality.
The initial focus of the institute was to provide objective-centric
classroom contact coaching education in a systematic and conducive
learning environment for the challenging examination like IIT-JEE. In
the beginning; this coaching was aimed at students of Class-XI, XII &
XII+ but later on, the backward integration started from Class-X to
IX, VIII and then VII. The programmes for these classes were
primarily intended towards developing competitive quotient
amongst the students at early age. To enhance the reach of
Resonance’s well-researched Study Material, Distance Learning
Programmes were also started to cater to the need of students staying
in all parts of the country. In a major lateral diversification strategy,
the last academic session witnessed launching of Classroom Contact
Programmes for other popular entrance examinations like AIEEE &
AIPMT.
Going with the winds of change and understanding the importance
of technology in education, R esonance has also launched its e-
Learning Programmes Division (eLPD) in 2010. The e-lear ning
initiative shall further enhance the r each of Resonance’s educational
products & services from national to global students frater nity.
Like a strong root that supports and nourishes saplings, we nurture our
students, enabling them to touch the pinnacle of success. Resonance is
all about providing the right tools, environment and direction to a
student and facilitating him/her in achieving more than their dreams.
Delivering outstanding results consistently has become the
distinguishing factor for Resonance. Over the past 10 years, Resonance
has consistently lived up to its promise of facilitating students in
realizing a bright future. We have bettered our programs, deepened
our knowledge base, in line with the need of the time. But one thing
has remained an invariable at Resonance and that is ‘Success’.
Today, Resonance has its own Study Centres offering Classroom
Contact Programmes for IIT-JEE at Jaipur, Bhopal, Delhi, Lucknow,
Kolkata, Nagpur, Mumbai, Udaipur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar and
Ahmedabad under the mentorship of its head quarter at Kota
(Rajasthan). We have also established Information Centres in
Resonance Corporate Office
Chandigarh, Indore, Patna and Ranchi and forging tie-up/entering
