Q.1 (a) Explain IDEA methodology. 3

(b) Give the syntax of the Oracle “Create Trigger” statement with a 5
suitable example.

Q.2 (a) OODB and ORDB are two database systems. Which of them are 5
considered to provide better protection and inheritance? Justify which
one of them has superior performance.
(b) How does the concept of an object in the object-oriented model 3
differ from the concept of an entity in the entity-relationship model?

Q.3 Consider the following Inheritance hierarchy in the Workers schema:

(a) Create a new class Student as a subclass of Object, with attributes 8


name, address, and university.
(b) Create a new class Person as a subclass of Object with attributes
name, address, and birthday.
(c) Make classes Student and Worker subclasses of class Person.
(d) Create an attribute car in class Student referring to class Car.
