Management forum by phpBB3 step by step

phpBB3 is a CMS to manage forum

1. Install
- coppy all floder phpBB3 in to root folder, ex: C:\wamp\www, may be change its
name if need(example, chang form phpBB3  Forum) or not if needn’t
- start localhost
- creat a database name for forum, ex: ipsemantic, that’s all!!!

- access to link http://localhost/Forum/install/


- click to intall in tab menu, the URL will be:
http://localhost/Forum/install/index.php?mode=install&language=en
click Proceed to next step

- Start install
- fill input, proceed to next step

- Proceed to next step

- fill input text, Proceed to next step


- Proceed to next step

- Proceed to next step

- Proceed to next step


- Proceed to next step

- Login
- This is the manager page
- Back to folder forum, should delete file install or rename it,

Success install phpBB3! 

2. Setting forum
Forum just creat:
- Change header:

o Chang text: Back to manager page, go to group BROAD


CONFIGURATION, click Broad settings (on the left menu)

o Fill input text, Submit


The result:

o Chang logo: click style on tabmenu, Click Imagesets on the left, chose edit
on the style which is using

o Chose image, submit


Result:

- Change style
o Style  template  install

o Submit

o Delete old templet


o Style  theme  install
o Style  theme  delete(old theme)

Result

- Change footer

o Open source code  style  style is using  overall_footer.html

o Edit line 33 with prosilver, line 17 with subsilver2

That’s all general setting forum! 

3. Create category and forum

Edit name of category

Fill input  submit


Create forum on category

Edit forum name

Change information  submit

Or by this way

4. Change icon forum
- Create a html file only link to icon
- Include this file to file in client file
5. Change .css: change in theme is using
