Steps For installing Bafo BF-810 USB to Serial convertor

1. Uninstall all previous versions of bafo usb to serial convertor


2. Connect the usb to serial convertor to one of the usb port
Following message will pop up in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen

After few seconds it will ask for some files as below

Click cancel button

Then it will pop another error message in the task bar

3. Now, Right click My computer


4. Select “Hardware” Tab. Then Click Device Manager Button
4. Now expand the PORTs section and right click the USB to Com Devices. Its
shaded yellow indicating that the device has not been installed properly yet.

5. In Device status it will tell that device has not been properly configured.
Click the “Reinstall” Button
6. Select “No,Not this Time” option. Then click Next
7. Select then the “Install from list or specific Location” option and click next
8. Now select “Don’t Search I will choose the driver to install” followed by next

9. Click “Have Disk” button


10. Click “Browse” button

11. File locating window will appear


Locate the file where it has been kept.

\Desktop\driver\810driver\window\

Select 810driver folder then windows folder

Then select file “SERWPL” and click open

12. Click OK

13 Click Next button


14 It will give warning message box
Click button “Continue Anyway”

15. For few seconds it do the installation process. After that it will show
following message box

Click Finish

16. Now each time the usb to serial port is inserted then right click “My
computer” go to properties,
Click “Hardware”, Click “Device Manager”.
Click Ports.
Right Click Prolific USB to Serial port, select properties.
Then select “port Settings”. Click Advanced button

Rename the com port to COM1, Since our software requires COM1 port
