Android 2.2 (Froyo) introduced integration of the Chrome V8 JavaScript engine, advanced Exchange support, Wi-Fi hotspot functionality, and support for Flash, animated GIFs, and file uploads in the browser. Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) built on these features and added a new user interface, support for extra large screens, SIP calling, NFC, WebM/VP8 playback, and new audio effects as well as improvements to copy/paste, keyboards, gaming, sensors, downloads, power management, and cameras.
