XILINX 12.3
Press the Start button, select Run and write
\\software.sabanciuniv.edu\academic\Spartan\ise12.3 into the text box. To start the
installation of Xilinx Click on the xsetup.exe file.

a. Click on the Next button.

b. Check the “I accept the terms of this software license.” box and click on the
Next button.
c. Check the “I accept the terms of this software license.” and click on the Next
button.

d. Select “ISE WebPACK” as the edition to install and click on the Next button.
e. Uncheck “Install Cable Drivers” and “Install WinPCap for Ethernet Hardware Co-
simulation” and then click on the Next button.

f. Select the directory where you want the software to be installed and click on
the Next button.
g. Click on the Install button.

h. Roughly to the end of the installation, there should appear the Xilinx License
Configuration Manager. Select “Get Free ISE WebPACK License” and click on the
Next button.
i. Click on the “Connect Now” button, create an account to yourself and get your
license file.

j. On the Xilinx License Configuration Manager, go to the tab “Manage Xilinx


Licenses”, click on the “Copy License” button and select the corresponding
license file that you got by e-mail.

k. You can then close the Xilinx License Configuration Manager.


l. Finally, click on the Finish button to end the installation.
ADEPT 2.5.1

Press Start button, select Run and write


\\software.sabanciuniv.edu\academic\Spartan\Digilent into the text box. To start
the installation of Adept, Click on the digilent.adept.system_v2.5.1.exe.

a. Click on the Next button.

b. Click on the “I Agree” button.


c. Click on the Next button.

d. Select a shortcut option and click on the Next button.


e. Select a destination folder and click on the Install button.

f. Click on the Install button.

g. Click on the Finish button to end the installation.


h. Finally, you need to add a plugin that allows Xilinx software tools to directly use
the Digilent cable-board configuration circuitry. Depending on the operating
system (32-bit/64-bit) you have, copy the “plugin\nt(64)\plugins\Digilent” folder
under “C:\Xilinx\12.3\ISE_DS\ISE\lib\nt\plugins”.
