Session for Core Values

Group # 1 started their presentation by reading out their prepared

flip charts and giving example for clarification.

Respect

Respect to human being without any racial, religious and language

discrimination as Quran says (we truly give dignity to human being).
Equal presence of man and women in official posts, respect to
women rights, respect to culture and custom

And the following behaviors to be avoided;

Prying (gossip), backbite, insult, bribery, hostility with each other

and not respecting the chain of authority.

The second group writes about Completeness:

Honesty; 1-fulfilling the commitments made to the people is a

sign of honesty for CARE,

2- Accountability, having a proper financial and administrative

system is the sign of CARE’s accountability. 3- Reliability;
Providing Quality service improves the trust of people on
CARE.
Group # 3

Commitments and Excellency:

1 – Being determinant while implementing the project and

achieving the objectives

2 – Sustainability and quality to be considered in projects for

the satisfaction of the beneficiaries.

According to this group all CARE projects should have quality

in order to satisfy beneficiaries.

Here the participants were asked to name any project where

the beneficiaries were not satisfied or CARE couldn’t keep its
promise or commitments

Then Brian named the Micro- Finance project as an example

and the reason behind it was that we couldn’t find proper
people for implementation of the project also the interest
payment was against Islamic law

Group # 4

Diversity

1- The diversity to be considered in recruitment of

CARE’s staff
2- Considering the diversity of all ethnicities sects in the
working area
3- Mobilization of working context for capacity building
4- Diversity in allowances of staff ex; CTO, Lunch,
Medical, Eid...
5- The difference of working hour b/w capital and
provinces
6- Lack of diversity in transportation service among
CARE’s employees
7- Lack of diversity (variety) of restaurants for CARE’s
Employees
Group # 5

The fifth group talks about Fairness

1. 1 – CARE asks people to select projects

thorough their voting and every ethnicity has
the right to vote and select the project they
want.
2. For procurement CARE asks venders for
bidding this way people are involved in the
project and any one can win the project
without discrimination
3. In terms of using facilities and allowances
there are some unfairness
