§2 Alarm Type
Classified by Nature of Alarm

Fault Alarm
The alarms generated in case of hardware equipment faults or major
function failures. After the fault has been removed ,the system will report a
cleared
alarm. One clear alarm corresponds to one fault alarm
Event Alarm
The accidental alarms indicating that the system is in alarm state for a

while. There is no cleared alarm for event alarms

 Critical Alarm

 The critical Alarm has an impact on the service provided by


the system. It requires timely handling.
 Major Alarm

 The major alarm affect QoS. It requires immediate handling.


 Minor Alarm

 The minor alarm does not affect QoS. It requires handling a


t a proper time against potential faults.
 Warning

 The warning shows a potential error that may affect service.


It may require handling in some cases.

You can only block the service boards, a blocked board cannot

process service

Resetting board: RST BRD


Board reset interrupts service on the board. You must resort to Huawei

technical support before resetting a board.

You can view the current clock status to check:
 Whether modifications to clock settings are correct
 Whether it is necessary to maintain and adjust the clock

§4 Relative Concepts of Data File
What is the data file?

The data files of the NodeB contain its basic data information. They are
independent of the NodeB software:
Data configuration file : it records NodeB configuration information
Operation log file : it records NodeB maintenance information.
Equipment archives : it records manufacturing information of all
boards in the NodeB

What is the upload and download?

Upload: You can upload data files from the NodeB to the FTP Server for
viewing, modifying and saving. Upload has no impact on the NodeB
Download: You can download updated data files
from the FTP Server to the NodeB
