Factoring Chart

This document provides instructions for factoring polynomials of different degrees: - For two terms, look for a greatest common factor or use the difference/sum of squares/cubes formulas. - For three terms, guess factors of the first term and constant and check using FOIL multiplication. - For four terms, group the first two and last two terms and check if they share a greatest common factor, then write the binomial times binomial expression. Always check that your factored expression cannot be factored further.
