Amoxicillin

Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic used to treat respiratory, skin, and other infections. It works by preventing bacterial cell wall synthesis during replication. DOSAGE meningitis,septicemia other cepalosporins
Adult: 250-500mg ADVERSE RXN: >assess for allergic rxn
every 8 hours Dizziness, fatigue, during therapy
Children: 20- insomnia, skin rashes, >Assess for bowel
40mg/kg/day itchy eyes, sore or dry pattern, if diarrhea- shld
divided dosage mouth, abnormal taste be discontinue
given every 8 hrs sensation, diarrhea,
rectal bleeding
