Microchip PIC JDM Programmer

Quick User Guide 1.0

1. Hardware Installation
1.1 Turn Off the PC
1.2 Connect the DB9 RS-232 serial cable Female connector to the PC’s RS-232
serial port.
1.3 Connect the DB9 RS-232 serial cable Male connector to the JDM
programmer.
1.4 Turn On the PC
(Please don’t use the NULL modem cable, it doesn’t work with this
programmer)

2. Software Installation
2.1 Copy the WinPIC800.zip from the CD or Floppy Disk into your Hard Disk
2.2 Unzip the “WinPIC800.zip”, all unzipped files should be placed in the same
directory or folder
2.3 Double click the “winpic800.exe” in the directory or folder, then you will see
the following screen:
2.4 Click Settings Æ Hardware

Select the “eTekronics-JDM” in the Hardware box, and the “COM” port in the
COM port box. After the selection, click the “Save” button to save the settings.
Then click the “Apply edits” to apply the settings.
2.5 Now you can start to program your PICs.
