This chapter will discuss properties of trigonometric functions as applied to problems about triangles. We will assume some familiarity with material from high school geometry, such as the Pythagorean theorem. We may show that a triangle with vertices at A(l, 2), B(2, 1) and 0(5,4) is a right triangle.
