During the Mid-Autumn Festival, children are happy to stay up past
midnight, parading multi-colored lanterns as families take them to the streets or city parks to moon-gaze. 月 The Moon

嫦娥 Chang’e & 后羿 Hou Yi the Archer
Long time ago, 10 suns were in the sky instead of one. The extreme heat made life on earth unbearable.
Hou Yi, an expert archer, tried to save the earth.
He shot down nine of the suns. Everyone was very happy and he became an instant hero.
He eventually became king and married a young
beautiful girl called 嫦娥 Chang’e.
However, Hou Yi grew to become a tyrant king. He wanted immortality by ordering a magic potion to prolong his life.
To save the people from the tyrant king, 嫦娥
Chang’e found the potion and drank it.
The moment she drank the potion, she flew
out of the window and up into the sky, towards the moon. 嫦娥 It is believed that Chang’e turned into the goddess of the moon and lived there ever since.
