Closure Temperature Exercise

1) The document provides information to calculate closure temperatures for apatite (U-Th)/He, zircon (U-Th)/He, and white mica Ar-Ar dating systems at different cooling rates. 2) Tables of parameters are given to calculate closure temperatures for each system at cooling rates from 0.01 to 100°C/Myr. 3) For a typical orogenic cooling rate of 15°C/Myr, closure temperatures are around 60-80°C for apatite, 150-200°C for zircon, and 300°C for white mica.
