STUDENT COMPUTER LAB

RULES AND REGULATIONS


AAPS SUMMER SCHOOL
1. Staff person MUST be in the computer lab while students are using it.
The lab will be locked when no staff present.

2. NO eating OR drinking in the lab.

3. Files should be saved to disk or to the folder called “Public Folder”, and not
on the hard drive.

4. Internet use is a privilege. Do not visit “chat rooms”, or sites not


specifically authorized by your instructor.

5. Games of any kind, unless authorized by your instructor, are


PROHIBITED!

6. When you are finished, unless told otherwise by your instructor, QUIT all
programs, and restart the computer.

7. Before leaving, PLEASE CLEAN UP YOUR WORK AREA, put scrap


paper in the paper recycling box, and push the chairs back under tables.

8. Copying software and/or using pirated software is ILLEGAL AND


PROHIBITED.

9. Do not abuse the hardware. If you encounter a problem with hardware or


software, tell your instructor. Your instructor will contact the Computer
Lab Technician.

FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THE ABOVE WILL RESULT IN


LOSS OF USER PRIVILEGES, AND OTHER ACTIONS
APPROPRIATED UNDER THE
ANN ARBOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS DISCIPLINE POLICY
