Maritime Acquisition Publications (MAPs) are to provide best practice guidance,


instructions and/or corporate knowledge to those in the acquisition of MOD shipping.

MAP Sponsors
MAPs are in four series:

• 00 series - Owned by the Naval Technical Publication Policy Committee

• 01 series - Owned by the Sea Systems Group

• 02 series - Owned by DG Ships

• 03 series - Reserved for weapons and combat systems
