Clutch Switch Circuit (M/T)

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the clutch pedal is depressed, the clutch switch sends a signal to the ECM. When the signal is input
to the ECM during cruise control driving, the ECM cancels the cruise control.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1 Check starter operation.

CHECK:
Check that the starter operates normally and that the engine starts.

NG Proceed to engine troubleshooting.

3 Check voltage between terminal D of ECM connector and body ground.

PREPARATION:
Turn the ignition switch ON.

CHECK:
Measure the voltage between terminal E6–25 (D) of the ECM
connector and the body ground when the clutch pedal is de-
pressed and released.
D (+) OK:
Clutch Pedal Voltage
I25145
Released 10 – 14 V
Depressed Below 1 V

OK Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in


problem symptoms table (See page DI–700).

4 Check wire harness and connector between ECM and GAUGE fuse (See page
IN–28).

NG Repair or replace harness or connector.
