Definition of terms

For a better understanding of key terms in the study. This


terms are defined operationally.

Customer satisfaction, a business term, is a measure of how


products and services supplied by a company meet or surpass
customer expectation.

Innovation is a change in the thought process for doing something,


or the useful application of new inventions or discoveries

Management organization and coordination of the activities of an


enterprise in accordance with certain policies and in achievement of
clearly defined objectives

Manager is the person responsible for planning and directing the


work of a group of individuals, monitoring their work, and taking
corrective action when necessary. For many people, this is their first
step into a management career.

Production processes and methods employed in transformation of


tangible inputs (raw materials, semi-finished goods, or subassemblies)
and intangible inputs (ideas, information, know) into goods
or services.

Administration is the act or process of administering, especially the


management of a government or large institution.

Supervision is the act, process, or function of supervising.

Leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to act towards


achieving a common goal.

Services is an intangible products that are


not goods (tangible products), such as accounting, banking, cleaning,
consultancy, education, insurance, know how, medical treatment,
transportation.

Sales personnel are personnel involved in selling and retailing.


Psychologists have been interested in the personality characteristics
of successful staff.
Respondents is giving or given as an answer; responsive, one who
responds.

Sawmill a factory or place where logs are sawed into boards.

Inappropriate means not fitting or appropriate; unsuitable or untimely.

Manufacturing is includes all steps necessary to convert raw


materials, components, or parts into finished goods that meet a
customer’s expectations or specifications. Manufacturing commonly
employs a man-machine setup with division of labor in a
large scale production.

Facility is a permanent, semi-permanent, or temporary


commercial or industrial property such as a building, plant,
or structure, built, established, or installed for the performance of one
or more specific activities or functions.
