Personalized Dashboards
Can be accessed as you would if you were logged on to the
Siebel Analytics Web
May include your own versions of the enterprise-level
Dashboards, with any special data filters you may add
Are created with data downloaded from the network to your
laptop
Follow the same visibility rules as the Siebel Analytics Web
Rules set up by your organization’s Siebel Analytics administrator
determine whether a given data set is valid for the application you
are using
Will be overwritten the next time you synchronize the application
if the changes were made to the shared folders
Module 13: Deploying Disconnected Analytics 4 of 18
2/6
Disconnected Analytics Application Manager
Allows you to update your local application data and use
different Disconnected Analytics applications while
disconnected from the network
Starts the
application
shown in the
drop-down list
Runs synchronization for
the application shown in
the drop-down list
Module 13: Deploying Disconnected Analytics 5 of 18

Local Repository
Is not a subset of the server repository
Is conceptually a pass-through repository because it is derived
from the main Analytics repository
A Disconnected Analytics application only has one repository
Each disconnected application has its own repository
Module 13: Deploying Disconnected Analytics 6 of 18
4/6
Local Web Catalog
Can be a copy of the server Web catalog or a copy that has
been scaled for single use
Only makes requests to the disconnected repository
Stores changes made to personal folders
Each Disconnected Analytics application only has one Web
catalog
Module 13: Deploying Disconnected Analytics 7 of 18
5/6
Local Analytics SQL Anywhere Database
Stores the downloaded data on the local machine
Is used only for disconnected analytics
Supplied with a schema
Module 13: Deploying Disconnected Analytics 8 of 18
6/6
Local Analytics Schema
Is unique to the local, disconnected Analytics database
Set up by the Administrator to hold the local data when
synchronized
Module 13: Deploying Disconnected Analytics 9 of 18
Content Sharing in Disconnected Analytics
There are differences in the way data is shared in Disconnected
Analytics versus the network-based Siebel Analytics:
Disconnected Analytics users can only make modifications to My
Dashboard
Disconnected Analytics users must store all reports in their private
folder and not in a shared folder
Changes made to Dashboards in the Disconnected Analytics
application are not transferred to the Siebel Analytics Web
Dashboards
