Aiden finds his father collapsed on the floor at home and calls an ambulance for help. The operator sends an ambulance which should arrive within 10-15 minutes and instructs Aiden to turn his father on his side until it arrives.

Scene 3

Aiden is walking up to his house. He hears a crash and runs up the stairs and into
the house and sees his father on the ground, crumpled.

SoundFX: Crash

AIDAN: (shocked) Oh. Dad!

Aidan takes out his phone and dials triple zero.

AIDEN: (crying) Hold on… hold on.

Aiden checks vital signs but doesn’t do it right, get frustrated and gives up.
Operator picks up.

OPERATOR: Emergency. Fire, Police or Ambulance?

AIDEN: (awestruck) Uh. Ambulance please.

OPERATOR: Sure. I’m redirecting you.

HOSPITAL: What’s your emergency?

AIDEN: My dad, he has liver problems, he is on the floor…he has colapsed.

HOSPITAL: Sir, what is your address?

AIDEN: 22 Longland Drive, Summer Bay.

HOSPITAL: We’re sending an ambulance; it should be there is 10 to 15 minutes. Is


he breathing?

AIDEN: I don’t know. I was going to check…I mean I tried, I couldn’t.

HOSPITAL: Okay, well turn him on his side so his breathing isn’t obstructed and
wait for the ambulance. Shouldn’t be long sir.

AIDEN: O-Okay.

(Fade out)
