    Devils, AHL Release 2010-11 Schedule


    Slate includes 30 home weekend dates

    ALBANY, N.Y. – The American Hockey League and the Albany Devils released the 2010-11 schedule,
    which begins on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. against the Adirondack Phantoms at the Times Union Center. Of
    the 80 regular-season games, 36 will be played at the Devils’ new Capital Region home and four at Atlantic
    City’s Boardwalk Hall. The remaining 40 games will take place on the road.

    The Devils’ home schedule consists of 30 weekend dates with nine Friday games, 13 Saturday outings and
    eight Sunday contests. All eight Sunday games will be matinees: Nov. 7 vs. Providence at 4 p.m.; Dec. 5 vs.
    Adirondack at Atlantic City at 4 p.m.; Dec. 12 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at Atlantic City at 4 p.m.; Jan. 2
    vs. Syracuse at 4 p.m.; Feb. 20 vs. Adirondack at 4 p.m.; Feb. 27 vs. Norfolk at Atlantic City at 4 p.m.; Mar.
    13 vs. Syracuse at 4 p.m. and Apr. 3 vs. Binghamton at 4 p.m. The Devils will also host a 5 p.m. matchup
    against Adirondack on Saturday, Mar. 5.

    Of January’s 14 games, nine will take place at the Times Union Center with a four-game home stand
    against Syracuse (Jan. 2), Adirondack (Jan. 5), Charlotte (Jan. 7) and Syracuse (Jan. 8). The end of the
    month also includes the start of another four-game run against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (Jan. 28), Rochester
    (Jan. 29), Hershey (Feb. 4 at Atlantic City) and Manchester (Feb. 5).

    The schedule features a season-long, six-game road trip in March. Albany travels to Syracuse (Mar. 16),
    Norfolk (Mar. 18-19), Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (Mar. 23), Syracuse (Mar. 25) and Hershey (Mar. 26).

    Seventy-six games will be contested against the Eastern Conference and 56 outings will take place within
    the East Division. The Time Warner Cable Northway Rivalry carries the most games with the Devils and
    the Phantoms squaring off 12 times.
