Break Your Love Spell

The poem is a plea to break a love spell from a past relationship. It describes still feeling the effects of their love through memories of kisses and names. It asks the former lover to release their soul from the powerful scents and memories that continue to imprison their heart after seven years without contact. The speaker warns that if the love spell is not broken, they will appeal to higher spiritual powers to intervene and rule in their favor.

Break Your Love Spell

Ricardo Saúl LaRosa

My lips still savor the sweetness of your lips’ kisses,

Bestowed upon mine in a candle lit lover’s chamber,
Long ago; brewing softy even now hauntingly in my soul,
In the name of love, for my peace of mind, set my spirit free!

My heart still palpates in love crying your name out loud,

Your precious sacred name which has been both a blessing and a cruse,
My spirit desperately seeks for your loving spirit nowhere to behold,
Today in this life I am alone hurting without the one whom I love,

My eyes closed faithfully in prayers in reverence to the stars above,

What has become of our grand love conceived from beyond time?
What has become of my once true love always afraid of being left alone,
Without me holding her shy trembling hands adoring my heart’s love?

Break your love spell that imprisons my heart to your sweet memories,
Cast away these chains that binds my heart to yours and yours alone,
Release my tormented soul from the grips of your powerful fragrances,
Those mystical scents of a woman, yours, that made me fall in love blindly,

Break your love spell that enchantingly illusion of love that is no more,
Set my heart free from your loving heart’s love that still burns within me,
Annul our pledge of love to one another once uttered in love’s passions,
Seven years without you in my life; stature of limitation for love’s return expired,

Break your love spell if you truly honor our love we once shared willingly,
For you have received all my 100 poems and letters telepathically of this I know,
For your spirit visits my spirit in my slumber and tells me this,
Break your love spell, my sweet love of days past, for I am dying inside,

I plead to you, I beg of you, love, for if you do not break your love spell,
I have no choose, but, to appeal to the Divine Royal Court to render a ruling,
My Counsel Spirits tell me that the Court shall rule on my behalf, not yours,
Giving me full retributions for my heart’s loss and your heart shall be
chastised…
