Adding the 1010ST Mac OSX Driver

and
Configuring 1010 ST Installable Options with the Mac OSX Driver

1. Insert the Xerox EX1010 User Software CD in the Macintosh drive


2. On the Mac,
 Select the OSX Mac Print Driver Folder
 Select the hard drive
 Select Library -> Printers -> PPDs -> Contents -> Resources ->
 Select the appropriate language folder, such as en.lproj for English
3. Copy the Fiery EX1010 PS (PPD) file into the folder
4. Select Applications -> Utilities -> Print Center
5. Select Printers -> Add Printer -> IP Printing (or AppleTalk)
6. Enter IP address of Fiery -> Uncheck Use default queue on server
7. Enter the correct Queue Name below Use default queue on server
8. Scroll down Printer Model and select Xerox
9. Select the Fiery EX1010
10. Highlight the EX1010 printer in the Print Center
11. Select 'Show info' from the Printers menu on the top of the Mac screen (or select
Cmd+I)
12. In the dropdown menu at the top that usually shows 'Name & Location', select
'Installable Options'
13. Select the proper options and click 'Apply Changes'

Note: The installable option may be just an icon, as is the case for Tray 6, or a pull-
down menu, as is the case for Punch.
