London is one the most exciting and cosmopolitan
cities in the world. It has the greatest concentration of
major attractions in Britain and boasts four World
Heritage Sites. There's nowhere else in the world
where you can see so much for so little. Choose from
the classic British Airways London Eye to museums
and galleries, or head outdoors to one of London's
many parks. You will play the role of a travel agent
and your main objective will be to design a virtual trip
to London. The cheapest and the most exciting trip
will obtain the prize. SO, BE PREPARED TO ENJOY
AN UNFORGETABLE TRIP!!
TASK

Your task will consist on planning a week trip to London . You


will work on groups of four and each student will be in charge of
finding out some of the aspects of the organization of the trip,
such as how to get there, accommodation, the amount of money
you will need, weather forecast,places to eat, different sights
etc. The project will be display in a power point presentation.
Process

Step 1 : you will assigned to a group by the teacher.

Vocabulary workshop: you will perform some task that will be so
useful for you in order to carry out the activity and searches on the
internet.

Step 3 : once you have been assigned your role, you will have to
research on the web the information for your project. Each of you
will be in charge of finding out the answer of four of the following
questions that will guide you through the process:

2. What will be the weather like?
3. What kind of people will you meet there?
4. How can you get from the airport to the hotel?
5. Where are you going to stay?
6. How are you going to travel in the city?
7. Where are you going to eat?
8. What sights and museums can you visit there? Look
at the time tables, prices etc.
9. What kind of attractions and entertainments can you
find?
10. Where can you go out at night?
11. Where can you shop in London?
12. Calculate the budget for this week - trip.
Step 4: you will share with your workmates the information you
have collected.

Step 5: working as a group, you will develop the virtual trip to


London in power point presentation that will be display to the
class.
