CALHOUN ACADEMY SUMMER READING LIST

RISING SEVENTH GRADE

Dear Parents,

We are enclosing a list for your child’s use this summer. Please
cooperate with us by seeing that your child reads the number of books
required for his grade level.
Surely you will agree that all of our children need to read more,
and we hope that this required reading list will encourage summertime
reading.

1. All rising seventh graders are required to read two of the

following books. You will need to complete a form for one of
the books you read at the beginning of the 2010-2011
school year. An in-class project will be required for the other
book. Your literature teacher will explain this project to you
within two weeks of the beginning of school.

2. Most of these books can be found in the Calhoun County

Public Library. Many are available in inexpensive
paperback editions from bookstores. Also, Calhoun
County residents many use the Orangeburg Public Library
for a small fee.
